i am just finishing reading pride and prejudice today, and i am loving it. if anyone has not read this book, it is terribly romantic and wonderfully written. it reminds me how the character of woman does not change through time or centuries. i think about my ancestors who lived at the time of elizabeth bennett, and i wonder, "did they have lives similar to hers?"

Sounds like you haven't read P&P before?? I'm surprised given how much of a literaturist you are! I love P&P, but I think I like S&S better!

No, I've read P&P about 4 times before, but it is always a good read when I need a good romance. And there was nothing else in my house that was worth reading!
I agree, P&P is an old stand by. Whenever I am sick Adam sets me up in front of the tv and puts P&P in the dvd player for me.
