sea world

we were so so very lucky to be able to go to sea world just after christmas with ken's family. sea world was the most fun vacation i have taken with our family, and the kids were the perfect age to go. we had so much fun seeing different animals, and watching the amazing shows that were performed. still today, months later, abe will sing the "shamu shamu" song while playing in his room.

thank you to grandpa and grandma johnson for taking us on the vacation of a lifetime. we will never forget it.

ken was the biggest kid at sea world, and he practically ran from exhibit to exhibit. he couldn't contain his energy. ken LOVES aquariums and sea life. he really should have been a marine biologisty. ken's new love in his life is his small 20 gallon aquarium, with a pregnant fish and a swimming frog, and an eel whom is always hiding.

we did just about everything the first day at sea world. we saw every show, went to almost every exhibit, and rode every roller coaster. it was a long, but rewarding, day.

us a the shamu show. we sat really close, but didn't get wet at all. perfect seats, ken.

otho was able to hold a wet squishy starfish. he wasn't even scared, and was so excited to do so.

abe followed suit and held a starfish too.

at the end of the first day, we were so darn tired. we had been at the park for 10 hours without stop. we had started the day on the big rollercoaster, which luckily abe was just the right size to go on it (sorry for cole, who wasn't). at the end of the day, the boys wanted to go on the other rollercoaster, which was a rapids ride. now, the sun is setting, and the ride is a wet one. the temperature is dropping. the boys go THREE times in a row with jacque and doug. they got so super wet and we went straight back to the hotel room for a warm bath. but they had super fun.

day two: we only did a few things on day two, since most everything was covered on our first round. the first thing we did was the dolphin encounter, which i am so glad we did, since that was my favorite exhibit of the entire park. we were able to feed and pet the dolphins, which the boys said felt like a hot dog. here's a picture of marc petting a dolphin.

and marc and doug making a new friend.

on day two we were smart and before riding a wet rollercoaster, we bought provisions, so the boys wouldn't get too wet. i asked abe if he liked the ride, and he said, not really, because he was a little scared. i was scared for him, little guy, thought he'd fall out. good thing i didn't ride with them.

not the best shot, but it's of the group after flying down the waterfall. we hope to go back to sea world in the future, because it really is the best place ever, and we had way too much fun.
