sprinklers in march?

it was the end of february when the temperature reached a sweltering 85+ degrees. not too bad, but for february? i suffered all day in a warm house, and when ken came home, he immediately turned on the ac.

turn on the ac? i wondered. heavens no, not in february.
let me tell you, people, i don't care how hot the worlds is...even if it's 120 in february, I WILL NOT TURN ON MY AC.

i won that battle, since yes, it did turn cooler as the evening wore on.

but the next weekend, after mowing the lawn, ken turned on the sprinkler for the kids, and otho had a blast running around in his swimsuit. later, he and ken played football in the water, and slid around until they were stuck with grass clippings from head to toe.


now, don't be too jealous mom and dad (who are stuck in freezing green bay). we won't have your summers.


i would classify this as a perfect saturday...when the yard work is done early and we are able to relax and play with the kids for the rest of the day.
