horsey, horsey

after watching the horses at the rodeo, we watched a chance to ride one ourselves. lynn borrowed a mini horse from uncle jack's house and brought it to us for the kids to ride.


otho rode the horse up from the neighbors. he and ellie had a blast being led on the horse.


grandma j. had a horse growing up. she was considering getting a mini-horse for the grandkids, but grandpa j. bought her a bronze horse instead. i guess we'll have to be satisfied riding this horse during pioneer days.


abe and cole took a small turn on the horse. the ride wasn't as interesting to them as it was to otho. but this was abe's first time mustering up the courage to get on a horse. way to go, abe!


ellie never wanted to get off. whenever she had to share and take turns she threw a tantrum. she is a true cowgirl at heart, just like her grandma j. yee-haw
