mother dear

on saturday we went out and bought a new camera since ellie broke our last one. i didn't want to delay the purchase because riley is changing so quickly (and i now know how quickly kids can grow up). then took a few pictures to try out the new camera, so i actually have a picture of me and my sweet new baby.


and i actually like this pic, which i normally don't like pictures of me. i may not get more pictures of me and my girl for awhile now, so i'll enjoy what i can get.


lynn watched the 4 kids while we went to get our camera...i really love this picture of her and riley. she's a great mother-in-law.


see how much riley has grown in a week? i notice she is wearing the same thing as my previous post, but the pictures are a week apart. riley sleeps most of the time. i'll say this again: she is the perfect baby. so perfect, in fact, that when ellie is upset and crying, she immediately stops when she sees riley. what magic that is - when riley can make the whole house happy with just her presence.
