whew. yes, as a mom of four kids, this can (and is) utterly exhausting. but worthwhile since it makes our lives culturally rich and fun. and there's nothing more energizing than happy kids. granted, not everyone was at all things at all times, and i'm grateful for ken's willingness to do things with the kids. we sure have had fun the past few days. here's a couple pictures of some of the events:

ellie at pump it up. she was cautious at first, and shadowed me for most of the time.

by the end, ellie got the hang of it, and would run off and do her own thing. i kinda liked her shadowing me, since i would worry when i couldn't find her right away.
sorry this is sideways, but it's the only thing of abe i got...he was running around so much i couldn't snag a picture of him. he sure had a good time, and luckily, that loose top tooth didn't fall out. i hope it stays there for another year or so (here's to wishing with such a physical kid).

otho LOVES hockey practice. he is a natural on the ice, and jumps out of bed every saturday at the crack of dawn (ok, really just 6:30) to play hockey. it's a free clinic he goes to every saturday this month. i love seeing otho in his hockey gear. he's such a little boy that there is more gear than there is otho.

this is by far my favorite picture of otho. ken says he was laughing the entire time. he has just come off the ice, and he is super sweaty from all the skating, but more than anything he is happy as can be. he really looks like a hockey player here.
and, here's a picture of otho coming off the ice. we might as well move to the northern states so he can go skating on the ice all of the time...but then i would have to drive in the snow, shovel the snow, and be cold because of the snow. meh, maybe we should just live in phoenix forever instead.
time for mom to go rest, after such a fun weekend. here's to a full, rich, complete, happy life FULL OF JOY with ones family.
