carlsruh sisters always looks alike

whenever my sisters visit people tell me that we all look alike. i disagree with this statement, but then again, i lived with these girls for most of my life, and they all look as different from me than anyone else.

the day after thanksgiving, my three little sisters (amber, sarah, and whitney) came to visit, bringing cutest little wes with them. it is always an exciting day when my sisters come down from utah, and we made the most of the great weather by staying outside most of the time.

we went to the johnson's on saturday morning. phil rigged a tractor with 4 trailers to take the kids on train rides. we're big kids, right? so everyone piled up in the tractor to take a quick ride down the street (imagine seeing this as you drive down warner...what a strange sight we must be).

sarah, jax, amber and whit all looking back for a quick pic.

marc had fun driving, and the boys were off fighting aliens in their own world.

me with ellie and rory. the train ride was a blast, and it is amazing that a tractor can pull all of us with ease.

sunday was gorgeous (yes, this is why we live in phoenix...we brave the terrible heat to enjoy the winters). we spent the afternoon lounging around outside in our backyard. i must admit, our winter grass is thick and lush and perfect. ellie and we enjoyed eating popcorn outside.

ellie STUFFING her face full of popcorn. she can't get popcorn in fast enough.

wes, eating a cookie and popcorn. i think he is trying to keep up with ellie on the amount he shovels into his mouth.

they don't look too concerned with what i think. their major concern is eating, and popcorn. but they sure are cute, no matter what they are doing.

that night we played games and played with the kids...

wes, ellie and whitney playing patty-cake.

and whitney making riley laugh. willy, why are you in every picture with the kids? did you play with them the entire time you were here? or only when my camera was out?

on monday we we went to the zoo before the girls had to take off back to utah. we started with a ride on the carosel.

abe riding the horse while sarah looked on.

amber and wes. wes may be smiling now, but as soon as the ride started, he freaked out and tried to climb off. he was hugging his mom the entire time. poor kid, scared out of his whits.

ellie's a pro at these rides, and got on a seal, which she calls a doggy, since she watched a seal program with ken on pbs and he called it a doggy to keep her attention. poor girl will always be confused.

cute riley just enjoying the carseat while everyone else was riding.

after the carosel, we went through the zoo and stopped at a play area for the kids. they had fun going down a slide, and running through the fake caves. wes opened up and didn't want to leave.

but after enjoying giraffs, otters, monkeys, orangutans, and elephants, it was time for our cousin and aunts to leave. we miss them always, and are glad they could swing down to say hi.

I have to say that I agree, you and your sisters look so much alike! That's so fun that you got to visit with family and have the cousins play with eachother:)
