merry christmas

call me lazy, or call me cheap, but this year i decided not to do christmas cards. with the advent of facebook and blogs, i feel more connected than ever to my family and friends. and so, here are the pictures i would have put in my christmas cards, if i did christmas cards.

2008 has been another exciting year for the johnson family. we have been so blessed to have our growing family that brings so much joy and happiness in our lives. it's crazy to think that 8 years ago, ken and i were only dating. we had no idea the future would bring with it 4 kids, 2 cars, 1 house, and an eternity of happy memories.

otho (6) started kindergarten, plays hockey in a little league, is learning how to read, and excels in math and science in school.

abe (4) started preschool, loves to spend his free time coloring, making books, creating robots, and playing with his friends.

ellie (2) has discovered princesses, loves to sing and dance and take care of her "baby doll," and spends most of her time being the pretty-pretty princess she knows she is.

riley (6 months) knows she is the perfect baby with all of the laughing and cooing she does for the family. she recently discovered the joys of rolling over, scooting to get her favorite toys, the addition of two new teeth, and how to giggle like crazy when tickled under the chin.

ken (old man) is finishing that darned dissertation, and working hard and steadily by publishing papers, presenting research, and wrestling with his kids.

myra (unaged) works full-time trying to keep the house clean, the kids dressed, and her sanity in check.

all-in-all it has been a year worth celebrating. we hope everyone has a wonderful christmas, and happy new year.
