i finally did it. i sent my first query letter to an children's literary agent.
my heart is pounding, my hands are shaking, and i really want to throw up. and no, i'm not being dramatic. this whole putting-myself-out-there-only-to-be-rejected thing is really, really hard.
but i am proud of myself.
since ken's been published, i need to step up my game too.
right?
this book's been in my head for 5 years. maybe in the next 5 years i can get it published and be done and move on. but then again...i really do love the story. it has been entertaining me this long.
i'll update with any good news - if there ever is any.

Good for you! I understand that it's scary to put your work out there. I've done it once but wasn't brave enough to tell anyone at the time. Good luck!
