otho, caught watching tv when he was supposed to be getting ready for school, said in his defense, "the tv makes me watch it."

on the other hand, otho is a genius with money. learning the basics of tithing tells us with wondering awe, "heavenly father lets us have 90%? wow. that's a lot."

abe is bound to be a scientist like his daddy. ask him what the three basic stages of matter, he says, "solid, liquid, gas." add the three parts of a particle, he will say, "charge, spin, mass." thus he has already written this poem:
solid, liquid, gas
charge, spin, mass
(the boys a genius)

ellie, seeing a picture of the president, pipes up and says, "bubblegum obama."

riley, though, still has yet to master the "da da da" and "ma ma ma." she's too busy crawling around the house after her brothers and sister to bother with silly things like talking.

My favorite thing about blogs is reading the cute things that kids say! Great poem Abe!

once again, I adore your children :)

Here is the website for the pie joint:
http://www.rockspringscafe.com/pies.html

It's just about an hour and a half north, like, 30 minutes past Anthem.

The pies themselves are 13 dollars and a slice is 5 if I recall...
