I know, I know, I shouldn't be on the computer, so I shouldn't be typing this, but I wanted to let ya'll know that I have written 4 chapters in my book (three today). And can I tell you that they are a slice of awesomeness. I am really proud with this massive overhaul.
The point is: my goal is working. I was itching so much to get on the computer on day #1 that I read a book then wandered around the house for hours until I decided to face my fears (and let it pass through me...Dune reference) and buckle down and write. Man oh man, did the words come out better then before.
I haven't touched my book for over a year.
I barely wrote anything else for that year too.
It feels good to jump back in the saddle and think: Dag nab it, I am good at this. I can do this.
And I will.
Taking away all the unnecessary distractions has helped a ton. I might just ban myself from distractions until I finish this massive rewrite.
(and no, you can't read it unless it gets published, so don't ask)

My, I love you. I love you, even if your novel is too bloody/gory for me to handle actually reading it. :-) (You'll still sign a copy for me, though, right?)
I'm glad your electronics fast brought you back into writing. I'm so happy and excited for you! Keep me posted on your progess (just don't give me too many gory details, yes?).
