How could I forget to include the Thirteenth Child by Patricia Wrede (young adult, fantasy) on my last list? I LOVED it, and I cannot wait for August when the next book comes out. It's the perfect book to read with your teenager or child.
And I just finished While I was Gone by Sue Miller that was beautifully written. Not the most riveting plot, but her writing was like eating smooth chocolate at the end of the day - relaxing and calming.
And Ken recommended Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson, fantasy, that was a great pool read (guess who can go to the pool and read while her kids play? Oh, that would be me. No diapers + free time at the pool = a very happy mom).
Send me your summer recommendations. We're at the pool a lot, so I need lots to read!
