One thing we wanted when we moved to CA was to continue our fun family bike rides. Blessing poured down on us, because somehow we lucked out and moved to a house that has a bike path going past our neighborhood right to the bay.
For Memorial Day, we strapped on our helmets and jumped on our bikes to go on a 10 mile family ride. It was so fun. And, of course, Ken had to use his new Go-Pro bike mount (and take pictures of everyone on their bikes. Silly, cute man).
By the end of the trip, we had 5 crashes, 2 collisions, and 1 running over a kid with another bike. But we also had 7 very happy people!
Abe got a new bike for his birthday, and loved riding on it!
Riley, who didn't bike on the long trek, took a few spins around the neighborhood on her bike.
Look Ma! No hands. This kid seriously cracks me up, because half the time he was biking without using his hands. Makes me laugh so hard.
Otho giving us his sly smile.
Pit stop half-way to the bay. Time to get drinks and take pictures in trees.
Cora had to join in the sister fun.
Ellie was a trooper and rode the whole way. She was tired by the end. Her little bike with no gears isn't easy to ride. But she powered through and finished the trek (with promises of Jamba Juice at the end).
Bug-eyed mom.
Look at those adorable smiles. Riley and Cora ride in the trailer and have fun eating and going over bumps way too fast.
Ken biking around while we take another pit stop.
Ken mounts the Go-Pro on our bike handles and then uses his remote to take pictures. Since I don't really love getting my picture taken over and over, I had fun making silly faces.

This isn't from our bike ride, but I thought I'd include these pictures of mom and Cora spending the morning hiking Mission Peak (we only made it halfway up before Cora decided to scream that she was done. We'll make it to the top one of these days).
Ken, training for a half-marathon, wakes up super early (5:30) to go running to the bay. He's a rock-star runner. He took this picture as the sun rose over the ocean.
