i have been tagged by a few friends lately, and although i would rather fain business and not complete these tags, i cannot because i am bored and have nothing to do. quick update...baby #4 (still unnamed) has yet to enter this world, although i am ready and waiting. no dilation, no contractions, nothing. i am to be induced on june 23rd (uncle dan's birthday, woot), unless we have a surprise between now and then. for today, though, i am tired and nursing a cold, so i will take the time to complete these tags...and perhaps you'll get to know something about me you didn't know, or even want to know, before.
tag rules:
1. link the person who tagged you (brookeknudsen.blogspot.com - my college roommate)
2. post these rules
3. tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours
4. tag 6 fellow bloggers by linking them
my quirks!
1. i am afraid to talk to new people. the thought just makes me so anxiety riddled, it kills me. at church, it is hard to say hi to new people, and sometimes it takes me 5 minutes or so to muster up the courage to talk to the person sitting next to me.
2. i hate clutter. if there are "things" on the floor or on the counters of my house, it drives me crazy. i blame my mom, who is the most uncluttered person i know. there's nothing more relaxing than to have a picked-up and clean house (something i should be doing, if i felt better. ellie dumped an entire box of cereal on the floor yesterday and i haven't had the energy to clean it up).
3. i like organized books on bookshelves. ellie likes to push all of the books back, and ken likes to throw things on top of the books. i've let it go, mostly, because i am trying not to nag, but it is so aggravating.
4. i am a consumer snob. if service isn't just perfect (i.e., the waiter doesn't bring my water within minutes or the retail clerk answers the phone when i am standing in front of her) then i get mean. i will leave the store or restaurant and not purchase what i need to and refuse them my business. if i am going to pay for something, the service better be up to par. ken hates this, and tells me to be more patient, but no, i cannot let this one go. for example, the wal-mart next to us is always low on tellers (like only 2 for EVERYONE). after waiting in line for 1/2 hour, i asked to speak to the manager, and i told her i would never come back to that wal-mart again because it wasn't worth my time or the savings to stand there with 2-3 kids for that long. and guess what, i have never been back!).
5. i have a very active imagination, and sometimes at night i imagine how i would get out of a death-defying situation...like if someone were to come into my house, what would i do? i am also terrified that someone will come into my car and hold a gun to my head and i have 3-4 kids in the back and i can't escape. i haven't come up with how to get out of that situation, but i have a few arguments to make the mean man let us go.
6. i don't like ice-cream. sure, i'll eat it once and awhile, but it really isn't that great. i don't see what the hype is all about. ken and his family, and my family for that matter, are obsessed. i would rather waste my calories with something else, like chocolate and caramel.
i guess i need to tag others, so here we go: liz, lynnae, laurie, shellee and brooke cook.

after reading that it makes me realize that God put me into the right family cause I fit most of those things, except the ice-cream business-thats just ridiculous.
YAH.....you finally did it! I know you're pregnant and about to give birth, but that tag was just so important!!! And I'm so excited to tagged me...ohhhh i love being tagged, they're fun! I love the baby names too, I'm going to vote right now!
SO about the car jacking... I guess you are not the only one that thinks about these things, but you take the keys out of the ignition and throw them as far as you can, gives you some time to rescue all of your children, oh and if that isn't enough time, there is always the master Si defense of taking your thumb and trying to gouge(I don't know how to spell that) their eye out, they can't get away if they can't see... sorry I guess I have a few quirks..
Woo-hoo! Another tag for me!
Oh, Myra, I love you! I had NO IDEA it was hard for you to talk to strangers. That's so interesting, I'd have never guessed! And I so hear you on The Store That Shall Not Be Named. My biggest issue? The fact that every single sign is in english AND spanish. Oh, and the birds that they let fly around INSIDE the store. Oh, and I have a list of complaints about that store that's a mile long. Hate it, hate it, hate it - and won't go there again either. We'll boycott them together. :)
Okay... So, Myra... don't hate me, but I just did your tag. Sorry it took me a week to get it done... Last week was kinda hectic and I just kept spacing it. Lucky for us all, my Sunday evening has been full o' nothin but down time and I remembered I owed you a tag. :)
You feel free to check it out when you're back from the hospital with that new baby girl (whatever her name turns out to be). :)
