makutus island

the world is full of fun places, and makutus island in tempe is one of those places. abe's preschool went there for a field trip and we tagged along. this places is like a mcdonalds kids area, but beefed up and cooler. abe was more than excited to go with all of his friends.


we rarely saw him, but he was nice enough to pose for mama for a brief moment. then he was off, climbing like a monkey in trees.


ellie had no quams about climbing through tunnels and down slides (seriously people they have the worlds fastest and scariest slide. i almost peed my pants the first time i went down).


i didn't hurt that ken came and climbed around with ellie. she was in daddy heaven, and wouldn't let him go up without her. they did everything together, and sometimes, on the off-chance they could catch abe, had him tag along too.


riley (who is getting too big too fast, might i add) didn't get to go play on anything, but she had fun nonetheless...

abe had the most super-duper-ooper-mooper time (as he put it) and didn't want to leave. i think abe would thrive having a place like this in his backyard. but alas, he doesn't get that luxury and will have to wait until we go next time.
