Because I'm a Little Bit Crazy

Because I'm a little bit crazy I decided to try and go a week without sugar. I'm at my parent's house for awhile, and when I'm here I usually bake up a storm, eat too much delicious food, and then I gain five pounds. So, to stop myself from baking, and to be cruel and mean, I am quitting sugar for 7 days. Not a month...that would be entirely too long.

I know I have fallen off of my goal wagon since we moved. Perhaps it's the slowness of living in a small town that makes me not want to make crazy goals. Or perhaps I am just lazy (probably lazy).

For the month of June I did quit caffeine and soda. And that goal lives on for the month of July, except when I am taking a road trip. And man oh man, do I feel so much better without all that high-corn-syrup-neuro-stimulant running through my body. And I read a lot so I barely watched TV. I think I will quit TV again in August because I am finding life without the tube is much more invigorating and I have more time to read. I love reading (sigh).

So these will be my goals (albeit late) for July:
1. No sugar for a week
2. Start training for a 4-miler

And that's it. No third goal because it's summer and because I feel pretty darned good about not quitting things because life is just the way it should be.

So here's to no sugar for this week...and right about now I am dying for a large brownie. We'll see how long I last.

I'm impressed! I just decided to cut out caffeine altogether and it's hard. I've cut down on soda, because I've realized that the sugar gives me headaches.

I can NOT wait until Mockingjay comes out. I'm 20 in line at the library and I hope that they people before me burn through it so I can get my copy!
